Tropicana Companies Presents Full Tuition Scholarships to Three Residents for Technical Degrees at Western Tech College

El Paso, TX- January 31, 2024- Tropicana Homes awarded over $94,000 in scholarships to three residents of Tropicana Properties, fully covering their tuition for technical degrees in welding, automotive mechanics, and HVAC maintenance and repair at Western Tech College. Since 2022, Tropicana has provided seven scholarships to deserving students, reinforcing their commitment to empowering El Paso residents through education and skills development. These scholarships support students who demonstrate dedication to their studies and a strong desire to pursue technical careers, helping them reach their full potential and contribute to the local workforce.
The checks were presented to the recipients by Bobby Bowling IV and Randy Bowling, owners of Tropicana Homes and Tropicana Properties.

Meet the Scholarship Recipients - Diego Pina (19, Castner Palms): Diego is passionate about automotive mechanics and aims to enter the workforce quickly to support his grandfather. As the first in his family to pursue higher education, he is committed to excelling in his program and making Tropicana proud. - Andrean Falcon (Dyer Palms): A dedicated father, Andrean’s passion for hands-on work and problem-solving has led him to pursue Advanced Welding. He hopes to build a stable future for his family, lead by example, and create a legacy. - Donte Lewis (21, Castner Palms): A Parkland High School graduate, Donte dreams of becoming a pipe welder. Motivated to improve his employment prospects and support his mother, he is determined to succeed in his Advanced Welding program.
About the Scholarship Program To qualify for these scholarships, Tropicana Properties residents are required to submit an online application and a 250-word essay. The dates for the upcoming 2026 scholarship submission deadlines will be announced at the Tropicana Properties website soon at www.tropicanaproperties.org
